The Eggy Pop collection from Cph Lighting celebrates its 20^th anniversary in 2024.  Thanks to the iconic design and great functionality the Eggy Pop collection is still relevant and in high demand for both private and public interiors.

The Eggy Pop collection is designed by Guglielmo Berchicci, a recognized and versatile Italian architect and designer. Guglielmo Berchicci is born in Milan, where he used to live and ran his design studio based in the Zona Tortona district. Today he lives in Palma, Mallorca.

Guglielmo Berchicci is the creator of several iconic designs. Some of his works are represented at MOMA in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan. Guglielmo Berchicci has also completed various prestigious architectural and interior design projects. Guglielmo Berchicci has always been fascinated by nature and the interaction between cosmos and chaos. The Eggy Pop collection is inspired by the universal shape – the egg.

The Eggy Pop collection was launched in 2004 by the company Bugs Design, which Guglielmo himself had established in collaboration with two business partners.

In 2005 Bugs Design contacted Cph Lighting who became their distributors for the Scandinavian market.

In 2011 Guglielmo Berchicci and his partners decided to go their separate ways. Cph Lighting had become their biggest distributor, and it was therefore easy to say yes when the opportunity imerged for Cph Lighting to acquire the production rights for the Eggy Pop collection.

Since the Eggy Pop collection was launched in 2004 demand has only increased. The timeless and iconic design, the product quality, and great functionality makes Eggy Pop perfect for both private and public interiors.

The 20th anniversary of the Eggy Pop collection will be celebrated at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen in June.

About the Eggy Pop Collection

The Eggy Pop collection was designed by Guglielmo Berchicci in 2004.

The collection is based on the diffusers available in three matching sizes: ø32cm, ø55cm, and ø70cm.

The diffusers are mounted with different electrical parts, which determine the function of the lamp.

The diffusers are made of rotation-molded opal white polyethylene. A 100% recyclable, UV-resistant and highly impact-resistant plastic material. The material ensures a pleasant and glare-free light.

Light source: 230V-E27 LED.

The Eggy Pop collection is manufactured in Denmark.
